Ok guys this as it reads above a few simple tips for war. Simple yes, overlooked regularly even by the top alliances.
Choosing Methods for Targets
Each KD has grown using different techniques and therefore is built in a different way. Thus requires a different method to take down.
Probe Kill
This is the most effective and efficient way of destroying NW at little expense to an alliance.
The first thing to do is make sure you have a team of probers at least 10+ strong, this doesnt vary much on NW of Target but does on population and readiness of target.
The second thing is choosing a target which is possible with the availble resources. For example a good target would have...
1. Barracks Capacity of 100%++
Therefore when his military will flood res and kill population to work this you need an SoM of target, and a SoB so you can caculate how much military is homed in res. So when res are arsoned, Military will flood remaining barracks
2. Low Population
This is a piece of string theory, Really its all dependant on your resources, but make sure you can kidnap all the pop no point trying to Probe Kill a KD with 200k pop and 100% Barracks unless u got 30+KDs with 10 attempts
The most efficient way of killing the KD in the lowest time is using AIM rooms. Get 10+ KDs together and get organised, make sure u always do this 10 or less minutes before hour change therefore giving the target the least possible time before getting online.
War Leaders
In my opinion the most resource wasting and ineffictient way of taking down a KD.
This is best put to use on the KDs which must die but are either incredibly active (make a hard PK) or just cant be PK'd.
It costs a lot for the aggresor as it requires much military and a lot of work. Especially on the larger Targets. As it is a simple basic method there is little that can be done to improve but remember!
1. A powerless KD has 20% less defence.
2. Failed attacks must happen so that the bigger KDs can break the larger targets.
3. Activity is of the essence, if the target takes 24hours or longer it is not long before ppl lost morale and it becomes even slower.
Missle Targets
Missles are one of the best ways to bring a KD down. They can be used to either kill a KD entirly or get them ready for a PK. Here are tips for using missles
1. Remember to make sure each KD within the alliance has a missle ratio like...
40% Nuclear
40% Fusion
20% Energy
This is how all missle strikes are done but the amount varies dependant on...
> Target Land
> Target Missle shields
> Target population
So ALs remember before you post targets work each of these 3 out and caculate exactly how many missles will be needed for either max land dmg or max pop dmg.
Preparation
This is vital, if an alliance is ready for war it can will be more effective. There are a few things to remember for this...
1. KDs all have missles
2. KDs have WL's home and ready.
3. Members of Probe teams have PAs and regular meetings
4. AL and AAL both have 100% barracks and High pop so cannot be PK'd
This is harder than it seems. You cannot possibly ask members of an alliance to hold everything unless you KNOW there will be war. Else they will be very angry with you when you change your mind therefore a system of alerts is the norm.
Yellow Alert: Hold 50% WLs
Stockpile Missles
Hold 50% PA's
Officers prepare KDs so cannot be PK'd
Red Alert: Hold Everything make many missles
Officers should already be ready.
Missle Counts are good out of war to encourage sector competition for the most missles and to encourage more stockpiling.
General Points
1. During war as soon as AL dies he must make newbie accounts so the AAL can be switched to a newbie who cannot be killed for 3 days.
2. Officers must post in AFs regularly to help maintain alliance activity.
3. NW whores will leave your alliance and are not much use boot them and let in sectors who will fight.
