Starkingdoms has an interesting social structure. It is actually a feudal system. There are a few elite Lords who surround themselves with, typically, less experienced players. This forms a cell of KD's who are often like-minded. The less experienced ones usually grow and learn from the experience of the main player in the cell.

Eventually the smaller people in the cell grow up and begin to train less experienced players, forming their own cells. The Lord of the newand old cell often continue to be close friends. These two cells are usually connected to form a structure.

Of course in most cases structures are not isolated things. They are interconnected with dozens or hundreds of other cells. This creates a superstructure. The superstructure is the basic fabric which makes up larger alliances. Smaller alliances can be made up of a few small structures or cells, depending on size.

Different superstructures (for the most part) define different alliances and different attitudes. This borrows the idea of "birds of a feather fly together". Most often people with simular ideals will cluster together to form their own superstuctures and alliances.
Superstructres can have many or few connections. The fewer the connections between cells and superstuctures, the more strained inter alliance relations tend to be. the best example of this would be the continous Mafia-Fenris dispute. There was always poor connections between the two, as well as a rift in idealogies. This made wars more likely. The opposite idea is Fenris-Zamoloxis defence pact. For a very long time these two sets of players got along mainly because of shared ideals about the game.

Occasionally a new alliance will form but the main members will be part of the same superstructure of an established alliance. These alliances are more often then not, see as "puppet" or "sister" alliances. Examples would include Celestial-Zamoloxis (G22). Another possible example would be Fenris-Llama alliances (G24). Many people viewed Llama as an offsrpring of Fenris.
The level of interconnectedness is too complex to put into a simple diagram as seen above but this is a ballpark estimate of the SK social world. I hope this helps you interact better.
