I started playing SK the very fist beta after a friend from Dune invited me to play because he was high up there in the heirarchy that is SK. I built tons of troopers, had no clue how to play cause I didn't read the help guide, and had very little defense. Needless to say I got owned, so I didn't play after that cause I thought SK was stupid. I didn't have much experience or interest in online text games so that was that.
I continued playing Dune 2000 cause it was loads of fun and I was good at it. Once Dune died I got bored and went out to find another game and ended up joining SK once again in G10. I had an extremely good sector, and my SL helped me out a bit with figuring out how to build a decent kingdom a little bit. The sector was rank 1, however, we all got KTed cause we went renegade and KTed Juxta's alliance and killed him and Huper I believe it was. My sector was KTed, almost all our top 20 players died and I got KTed for a few hours then they quit. Enough to drop me out of the top 100 anyways. =(
I ended up becoming SL, and began trying my best to make due. About a month into the game I made top 100 once again, and then by the end of the round I made it to top 50 and was very happy. =) Tang nuke clicked the rank 1 guy to death so the round ended sooner then normal, but it was a good round.
The next round I played seriously was G12. I had a similar experience to that of G10, except my sector all quit and I ended up being SL. Still out of top 100 cause of a lot of cheating and simply lack of skill. Eventually I made it to top 30 after a month and a half but couldn't get any higher cause virtually everyone was No-Res and I wasn't. So Angel of Death (You know him as Blitzkrieg) taught me about Barracks Space and quickly my pop went from 250k to 650k
I moved up to top 25 and was very happy however I kept getting Kidnapped so Blitz taught me how to go Resless properly. I dropped to 40th, and then quickly moved up to 20th position again. I had one of the biggest supported militaries in game with 700k LDs, 200k Tanks, 100k Dragoons and 400k supported TFs so I ended up hitting a top 10 guy and he was unable to hit me back. =) Was lots of fun, Diamond got into a huge war and dominated and I was in there the whole war. Was a lot of fun and I ended up finishing 18th after being hit by Mashed Potatoe.I played both servers after that. Needless to say I had a lot of bad luck in my games on S1/S2. =( Both accounts ended up being hacked after being in 2nd position on S2 and 1st on S1. S1 was taken over and ended up getting KTed for Bashing or something of the sort and S2 was simply suicided. I ran my first alliance on S2 called "Serenity" and it was a huge success. Everyone got along very well and my VAL was my best friend in RL, RedBaron who was 3rd place. (Arny was 1st, but RedBaron was starting to pass us both - he ended up finishing 1st however the server crashed and the scores never saved... He finished 1st his 2nd game, which was huge)
The next round I played was G15 on S2. I changed my identity to Fade To Black and played accordingly with that KD name. Most people never knew me as Xtronomy Kingdom anyways, so it was crazy when a player came out of no where and near dominated S2. I had a very good sector with lots of friends, so I was in 2nd place after the 1st week just barely behind Masteris. I had a 10 hour return so at 4am I sent 70% of my military out on Masteris and no one ended up hitting me, so I got a pretty big lead. Omni and Masteris ended up getting suicided on by Shade so they dropped fruther and SA and Sephiroth moved into 2nd and 3rd. Shade was in 7th place so when he suicided, I managed to get 3 decent hits on him totalling about 550 land so that put me further in front of 2nd place by about 1000 land by around 3500 land. After my troops got back I ended up hitting SA out of 2nd place by sending out 70% again. After that I continued hitting and made it to 5700 land by the time 2nd (who was Sephy - Del Monte) was at 4000 land. Had a nice 400k Lead at 1.2mil, and things were going well. I ended up making another big hit on a top 20, had 3 kingdoms suicide on me and Sephiroth ended up suiciding on me (a little bit of justice I guess) and managed to get away with it, but even still I had a massive lead. Shortly there-after I got KTed by TAG and another alliance and was brought down in about 5 days)... So ended perhaps one of my best played games and my shot at achieving the SK record. I had a strategy planned that would've put me at a huge edge, I was going to save up 1.5mil soldiers and go No Res, massing an army of over 2mil tanks that didn't need support. Then I would mass an army of supported TFs over that, allowing me to break 2 top 5 players at once since they did the conventional No-res and only had 700-800k tanks defense.
Game 16 on S1, was a heart ache for me. I played probably the best game I ever had and got completely and utterly owned by suicidal crazy xLTx. The game was probably one of the most chaotic games in SK history with wars waging left and right and the top 10 changing daily. I managed to get a massive land lead as per my usual strategy but was broken by 2 xLTx players and shot back down. After a few I managed to get back up after a few days. Then had some more xLTx guys suicide on me, then it took me a week or two to get back. After I managed to get to 10k land I had a massive lead in NW and Land, cause of my scientists my military was pretty crappy. I ended up getting broken 4 times again by xLTx suicidal/non-suicidal KDs but maintained a small lead in Land. After building a better military and laying off on land, I managed to get back to 2nd. 1st place (Emily) was KTed for clicking, and I went back into 1st again. I managed to amas almost 10k land lead again by 30k land, but my military was still relatively bad in comparison (whether because of land rush or cause of others' clicking, I don't know. Maybe I just suck, hehe) I ended up making a hit for 1.8k land and then got hit 4 times by the other top 10 xLTx players. Then a massive war happened, and the xLTx leaders that were in the top 10 got killed or weakened, so I went up to 3rd place again. Maniac was in 1st and Wait and Bleed was in 2nd, and they were friends so the round should've ended peacefully. I managed to move into 1st place in land and 2nd in NW just before a massive war broke out that ended up lasting 2 weeks. Maniac and Wait were both KTed respectfully by the opposing sides and I moved into 1st once again. Since I had a nice lead I took it upon myself to attempt to do my Super Strat as I explained above, once I got finished making the soldiers I ended up getting broken 6 times by the ghost and got knocked all the way down to 25th place. If I hadn't had tons of TFs I would've fallen much further. Once I finished converting after losing half my land, I shot up hugely in the scores and managed to finish in 7th - I was Aurora. This was a pretty big accomplishment for me considering I was hit 19 times in a round. I lost a grand total of 65-70k land and only finished with 38k. I did have a lot of help though - A lot of people saw that I was getting Royally screwed so they suicided or disbanned to help me. At this time it wasn't seen as a crime - though it was unfair, and I will say that I did play unfair this round.. But I got screwed much worse then that. Again, I admit to being wrong) It was a fun game to say the least, I'm sure most other top players would've quit in my position so I felt pretty good about myself.
I won't go into detail about the other rounds, but needless to say I have the worst luck of all time. In the rounds after I was Disbanned after I had first place with 3 days left in the round, the server went down and my KD died when I could break 2nd place 3 times without being open. I was KTed and suicided on by xLTx once again after trying my Super Strat, and finished 2nd place. My own AL ended up having his sectormates suicide on me, and then failing on me himself to knock me out of 1st place, among other things. Basically I have the worst luck of all time.
Even when I did finish rank 1 (Last round as xX Cloud Strife Xx) I got KTed for about 2 weeks of the game and probably lost a lot of NW and growth because of it. I took more suiciders and lost more units then most players have because everyone assumed I was cheating. Every round I've played I've had to fight fairly hard for my position regardless of where I end so I am very happy with myself, and greatful for all the help I've had in the form of people protecting my ass. I couldn't have even come close to finishing where I did in the past if not for the core group of friends I have that protect me in the game, so I am extremely greatful to them above all - it's because of guys like you that I continue to play to this day.
